The health and safety of our employees, customers, and brokerage partners is always our number priority at Dongnae. With the recent spike of COVID-19 cases across the country, we are implementing a number of important initiatives in an effort to encourage “untact real estate” (언택트 부동산).
Untact is a concept that was coined in Korea where the use technology is encouraged to reduce the need for person-to-person interaction. Residential real estate in Korea typically involves an incredible amount of person-to-person interactions — from the frequent stops at retail brokerages in search of available units to the touring of the housing units that often involve two sets of brokers, the customer and landlord.
In the interest of the health and safety for our brokerage team, co-broking partners, landlords, and customers during COVID-19, Dongnae is implemented the following:
Initial consultations sessions with our brokerage team are now done over Zoom, Google Meet or a phone call
Dongnae is offering free 3D mapping via Matterport using a Pro2 3D Camera to any landlord or broker that wants to create a digital walkthrough of their home to allow potential buyers or renters to view their home without physically visiting. Matterport and the Pro2 are the absolute best-in-class global technology in this space. Dongnae will cover the costs for all 3D mapping and storage of the map for the landlord or broker. Here is an example of a recently mapped property by Dongnae. If you would like us to untact@dongnaezip.com.
Dongnae will offer a video walkthrough of any properties here in Seoul through KakaoTalk Video (when allowed by landlord). Dongnae’s brokerage team will go on premise to do the walk of the property for you while you are free to ask questions to the broker and landlord.
Our goal at Dongnae is to help limit the amount of travel and person-to-person interactions through the use of technology. Visits to Dongnae’s brokerage space is also available, and we’ve implemented the following procedures there for the safety of everyone in the space:
mandatory check-in via QR code to any guests in the space
